WritingCompetition.com is accepting entries for its Spring contest.
First Prize: $10,000 - Second Prize: $5,000 - Third Prize: $2,500 April 15 deadline. University of Iowa Press - Poetry
Open to new as well as established poets, is awarded for a book-length collection of poems written originally in English. Submission fee required. Manuscripts should be 50 to 150 pages in length, with your name on the title page only. The winning manuscript will be published by the University of Iowa Press under a standard royalty agreement. THE KLASKY CSUPO SCREENWRITING COMPETITION
Deadline April 6, 2001 - The contest is open to writers throughout the world who submit a completed entry form and a script in accordance with the Official Rules. Ayn Rand Institute - Essay Contests For High School and College Students

"STORMY OR BLUE" POEM - Deadline May 10, 2001. A poem in any style strongly tied to the weather - storms, rain, blue skies, etc. Entry fee $3. Prizes: $30, $20, $10. SCRIPTAPALOOZA 2001 Screenwriting Competition - Final Deadline April 15, 2000
Entry fees - Open to any writer 18 or older without produced feature film credits. Any script from any genre will be considered. 2001 USA Songwriting Competition
Deadline - All entries must be postmarked by May 31, 2001. Entry Fee: Check or money order for US$30.00 (US currency only). If paying by credit card, US$30.00 will be charged to your account. Contestants may enter as many songs in as many categories as desired but each entry requires a separate cassette or CD, entry form, lyric sheet and entry fee. This competition is open to all amateur and professional songwriters and anyone regardless of nationality or origin. Boston Review - Fourth Annual Poetry Contest
Deadline June 1, 2001 The winning poet will receive $1,000 and have his or her work published in the October/November 2001 issue of Boston Review. Poetry.Com Poetry Contest
The International Library of Poetry will award 250 prizes totaling $58,000.00 to amateur poets in the coming months.
