Emeralds

Emeralds: Part of the Beryl family (see above) Emerald is an important stone to anyone who works in science or healing, found in shades of green varying from very light to very deep.

Healing properties: said to provide inspiration and help those in need of balance, healing, and infinite patience. The pale, clear, green Emeralds are valuable in meditative work as well as healing. Works best combined with a diamond or alone. Said to give wisdom from the mental plane so the possessor is motivated to give love and wisdom to others. Some suggest the Emerald helps strengthen the backbone and alleviates problems associated with sugar diabetes.

Caution: the opaque variety should NOT be used for mental or emotional attunement.

The Emerald is said to improve psychic abilities, raise consciousness, and help the individual attain balance as well as said to enhance the immune system. Said to be an enemy of all enchantments and conjurations, emeralds were feared by magicians, who found all their arts of no avail if an Emerald were in their vicintiy. The Emerald through history was used in different medical applications, said to strengthen memory, aid in eloquence, reveal the truth or falsity of a lover's oath, they were also employed as antidotes for poisons and poisoned wounds, as well as against demonical possession, plus when worn about the neck, said to cure epilepsy.
