How Could I Forget?

There have been days
You've worried, I know...
It isn't that easy
When kids like me grow.

'Cuz, heck, there's been times
I goofed up a lot
But through it all
I never forgot...

That you would be there
Each night and day,
With the first aid kit
And plenty to say!

So maybe I took more risks
Than most kids would take
That's 'cuz I knew
Your love wasn't at stake

And this gave me courage
To do more than most...
So to you on this day
I pledge a toast:

"To a wonderful Mom
Who through thick and thin,
Taught this here kid
What it feels like to win!"
