To Be American
What does it mean to be American?
Nor the fierceful independance,
The sounds of hope for children,
I'd like to believe we're special...
What does it mean to you?
Not just the stars and stripes,
Nor the colors red white and blue...
The belief in justice for all...
The belief there is good in all men
And the freedom to follow a call...
The ability to be what you will,
Is it all these things together
That make an American heart fill?
That we fight for truth, hope, and peace,
And there's nothing like Independance
Day
To remember to stand by our beliefs!
