It is a time for
caring and sharing
A very special
time of year
A time to spread
the joys of life
To all those
you hold dear...
My Dream
My busy day was over --- exhausted I fell
asleep,
"If only I could have more time in a single
day
I pictured one unending day doing all the
things I do...
I saw my friends and family surrounding me
with laughter
For don't the challenges build our strengths
to face all that we must?
I woke the next day with a smile not really
knowing why...
I began this day with joy... basking in the
glory
Thinking of things I'd yet to do and hoping
they would keep.
I tossed and turned remembering the chores
I'd left undone,
Wishing I had finished each and every one...
To do things that mattered most..." to myself
I prayed.
"What if your day could last forever? Would
this please you child?"
The questions kind of startled me and I
pondered them a while...
Imagining unending work... and then I thought
of you.
If I could have this special day how would
I use it then?
Would I be worried about the work or spending
it with friends?
With joy and tears and hopes and dreams
lasting forever after...
An unending day of love, of caring and of
sharing,
A day of Peace that never ends seemed to
me so daring.
I couldn't see a world with nothing in it
to mistrust.
Yet if I really had to choose a day that
never ends...
I know for certain it won't be work -- I'd
be spending it with friends.
Ignoring all my tasks ahead I stared up
at the sky.
The sun was slowly cresting spreading warmth
within it's glow.
I wrapped myself within the moment enjoying
God's light show.
That I could live and breath and see...
and write my friends this story.
For maybe this is the secret for having
Peace everywhere...
Learning how to love, to care ...and making
time to share.
