A Kind of a Hush All Over The Land

If we listen very carefully... we hear angels sing a symphony,
To celebrate a special gift meant for us all to share.
A gift so very heavenly... sent for us all to finally see,
How much mankind is loved by God - how much He truly cares.

Blessed are we the children brought together on this earth,
To share the joy and beauty of this very special birth...
Of all the gifts we may receive made of God's own hand,
This must have been the gift to spread a hush throughout the land.

For can you just imagine for a moment while you read...
How much the world has changed from this one gift we have  received?
Where would we all have been today had it not been for Him?
Would we have all perished by now, victims of our own sin?

During this hectic time of our lives let's all take time to pause,
And recall the special origins ...and recall the cause.
It is a special time of year born of peace and love...
Each and every one of us have been blessed by God above.
